I am available every day, including weekends.

How it works

Using a clever bit of software called AnyDesk I am able to see your computer and help you, just as if I was sitting next to you in person. If you've ever used TeamViewer then this operates in exactly the same way. I just think AnyDesk is better!

I have provided installation instructions for AnyDesk here.

Remote Computer Repairs

You always remain in control and I won't be able to see your computer screen unless you give me permission to do so.

How much does it cost?

I charge £10 for every 15 minutes of work. Alternatively I can give you a fixed cost once I've seen your computer and discussed the issues with you.

You don't pay anything in advance and only pay when everything is complete to your satisfaction.

If I have to run any scans which will take time to run then I will start the scan and then call you back when it's finished. This reduces your costs so you are only paying me to do useful things on your computer.

If I can’t fix your problem you won’t pay a penny

Once I have seen your issue I will be able to give you an estimate of how much I think it will cost to repair. Many remote computer repair jobs only cost around £20, as you can see in the case study examples below.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

Is it Safe and Secure?

Yes! Absolutely!

I fully understand that having a random stranger logging onto your computer can feel very intimidating. I will only be able to connect to your computer when you give me permission to do so. Under no circumstances will I snoop around your private files or photos or emails. You will see what I am doing on your computer at al times and I will also explain everything I am doing to give you full confidence in my skills and professional integrity.

Types of Remote Computer Repairs I Can Do

I can fix a wide range of computer problems via remote logins including:

Setting up Printers

Are you having problems setting up your printer. I can even help with wireless printers. From sorting out driver issues and strange error messages I will soon have your printer up and running again.

Email Setup

Are you having problems setting up your email accounts in Outlook or Apple Mail. Are you getting confused with IMAP, POP3 and SMTP settings and port numbers and SSL? If so, then give me a call. Whatever your email provider, Hotmail, Gmail. iCloud, your own domain I know all the tricks to getting the emails working properly within your favourite email program.

Backup Solutions

Backing up your personal files and photos is so important in case anything happens to your computer. We recommend Microsoft OneDrive for Windows computers and can help set it up for you. Alternatively you maybe prefer another cloud storage such as DropBox or a more traditional external hard drive. Whichever you prefer I can help ensure it is setup properly.

Website Changes

Do you have a website which you are struggling to make changes to. Or are you getting error/warning messages from your web hosting company which don't mean anything to you. Give me a call and I can show you how to resolve any issue you might be having. I am also an expert in WordPress websites.

Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 is the new name for Office 365. I think it's a great product because you get all the latest versions of your favourite programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook plus 1TB of cloud storage to backup all your personal files and photos. There are various option available and I can make sure you choose the right option for your budget and needs.

Recent Case Studies

Here's just a few stories of some remote computer repairs I have carried out for my customers.

Microphone Issues

John was trying to record some videos but his voice wasn't being recorded. I setup a remote AnyDesk session and 20 minutes later the problem was solved. John only had to pay £13 to get his problem fixed.

Wi-Fi Not Working

Sarah's laptop would only connect to the internet if it was plugged into the router with an ethernet cable. This wasn't ideal as it meant that she could only use the computer if she sat at the bottom of the stairs. I was able to get the wifi working again so sarah could sit in the comfort of her lounge with her laptop. It took 30 minute to solve the problem and cost £20.

Cloud Backup

Paul and Clare wanted help sorting out all their files and photos and making sure everything was backed up. They had photos stored in numerous places on their computer and nothing was organised. Furthermore, nothing was being backed up so if their computer died they would potentially lose everything. I helped them get their files and photos into an organised structure and then setup OneDrive so all their files would be backed up in the cloud.

How to Get Started

The first step is to get AnyDesk software installed on your computer. I have provided detailed instructions here.

How does payment work?

Everything we do is based on trust. There’s no need to pay in advance or put money into my account before I help you. I will help you and once you are happy I will send you payment details. You can pay online via credit/debit card as well as via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
