Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error – 536870325 for package ‘C:\Program Files\HP\HP Scan\DriverStore\HPScanUnusedStubDriver\UnusedScanStub.inf

When trying to install HP Easy Start software to enable the scan to PC function to work on PC following error comes up.

 

 

Resolution

1. Exit installation program.

2. Rename the UnusedScanStub.inf file in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\HP\HP Scan\DriverStore\HPScanUnusedSubDriver

3. Restart the installation software for the printer.
